"I am the first and the last:
I am he that liveth [zao], and was dead;
and, behold,
I am alive [zao] to the Ages [aeons] of the ages [aeons], Amen;
and have the keys of hades and of death." (Revelation 1:18)
Jesus began to be alive [zao] to the Ages of the ages in His resurrected body when He rose again from the dead:
The Ages of the ages: An indeterminate number of aeons/ages (or never-ending cycles of time).

THE FIRST THREE AND LAST THREE CHAPTERS OF THE BIBLE
RESURRECTION OF THE JUST AND THE UNJUST
In Acts 24:15, Paul said that he has "Hope toward God, which they (Paul's Jewish accusers) themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection [anastasis] of the dead, both of the just and unjust."
- The Resurrection of the body (of those who died in Christ) will occur when Christ returns:
"But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
For as in Adam ALL die, even so in Christ shall ALL be made alive. But every man in his own order:
Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death." (1 Corinthians 15:20-26).
"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive [zao] and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
"Listen, I will tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed - in a moment, in the blinking of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed." (1 Corinthians 15:22-23; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52).
COMMON THEMES IN THE REVELATION:
"It is Done!"
THE WORDS "ALL THINGS" USED IN THE NEW TESTAMENT IN REFERENCE TO GOD'S CREATION:-
Colossians 1:16-17:
"For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist."
John 1:3-4:
All things were made by him;
and without him was not any thing made that was made.
In him was life [zoe]; and the life [zoe] was the light of men."
Revelation 21:5:
"And He sitting on the throne said,
Behold, I make all things new"
"And He said to me, Write, for these words are true and faithful."
The Revelation also does not tell us who "the rest of the dead" are - those who "did not live again [anazao] until the thousand years were finished." (Revelation 20:5a). HOWEVER, many years before the Revelation was received and written by the apostle John, the apostle Paul had written,
"For as in Adam ALL die, even so in Christ shall ALL be made alive. But every man in his own order:
Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
(For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.") -- 1 Corinthians 15:22-26.
This has led many Christians to believe that the rest of the dead who did not live again until the thousand years were completed, are the rest of the "ALL" mentioned by Paul, who had not risen with the saints when Christ returned, and that these are possibly the (now resurrected) nations of people seen being gathered together for the "Gog-Magog" battle at the close of the thousand years.
Paul wrote, "God is the one who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not based on our works but on his own purpose and grace, granted to us in Christ Jesus before time began, but now made visible through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus. He has broken the power of death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel!" -- 2 Timothy 1:9-10.
1. Christ IS the resurrection from death and the (eternal) life [zoe],
2. The destruction of death IS the second death. The lake of fire IS the second death.
3. Those who are not IN Christ - their names are not in the Lamb's book of life - and they are seen by John in the vision he saw to be thrown with death into the lake of fire.
There's a lot of debate between Christians as to how to interpret these things, it's not easy to know because it's easy to become confused, and it's not wise to become too dogmatic about how to interpret quite a few things written in the Revelation, lest we catch the wrong bus.
The Revelation closes with these words:
Revelation 22:18-21:
"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen."
